Wheel Barrow Job Alert - Youth Outreach Coordinator

Youth Outreach Program Coordinator for The Race For
Education

Minimum Qualifications:
-    Bachelor's Degree with a background and/or
experience in Education
-    Bilingual in Spanish
-    A passion for teaching and working with children
-    Experience working with grades 6-8 preferred, but
not required

The day-to-day responsibilities are primarily
administrative, and consist of but not limited to:

-    Maintaining databases of participating and
prospective students, as well as volunteers.
-    Individual communication follow-up with/recruitment
of all participating/prospective students on the programming
offered.
-    Recruiting volunteers to assist during programs and
meetings.
-    Receiving and responding to incoming calls and
emails regarding the outreach program.
-    Maintaining data on each student's grades,
attendance and "program points"  
           status for award determination.
-    Researching programming/speaker opportunities for
program.
-    Reports to Student Services Manager.

Additional responsibilities may include:

-    Organizing and conducting volunteer trainings.
-    Development of mentoring program for participating
students.
-    Organization of special events or field trips for
students.
-    Participation in outreach on the farms and in the
community.
-    Preparing and distributing newsletters, 2 per year.


Hours: Regular hours will be 12 - 7 PM Tues - Friday 9AM - 1
PM Saturday
