Entries soon to open for Grassroots National Championship at Badminton.

Just as entries close for the world famous Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials, Grassroots riders will shortly be able to enter the 2011 Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Grassroots Championships, which take place from 20th to 21st April.

The competitors for the two sections at this championship qualified at Regional Final events between July and October 2010, at venues throughout Great Britain.

British Eventing have run the Grassroots Championship series since 2005, however the exciting move to Badminton, in addition to sponsorship from Mitsubishi Motors, has hugely boosted the demand for this series and greatly raised the profile of riders at the Grassroots.

The Championships will play host to competitors from all over the country, from differing backgrounds, many of them with different stories about their experiences of qualifying for this event and how they juggle Eventing with their day to day lives. The 2010 Championship winners were 21 year old Veterinary Student Jack Day, from Leicestershire, and 27 year old Cumbrian staff nurse Amy Dixon who won the BE100 and BE90 titles respectively.
