Bromont: Clark Montgomery Caps Off a Superb Weekend to Win the PRO Tour Bromont CCI*** with Loghan Glen

Bromont, Quebec - June 14, 2011 - Clark Montgomery laid down the gauntlet with a lovely dressage test on Friday, giving him a penalty score of 39.0 and a slight lead over Leslie Law aboard the lovely Rehy Lux owned by Troy Glaus. Bromont's strong international field of competitors did not give much quarter to the leaders who handled Derek DiGrazia's cross-country course with fluid ease, adding only a few time penalties to their overall score on Saturday.  Despite a rail on Sunday, Clark and Loughan Glen took home the win and look to be a superb pair for the future.  Leslie Law and Rehy Lux finished in second followed by Phillip Dutton and Nina Gardner's William Penn in third, Buck Davidson with Sharon Will's Absolute Liberty in 4th and Sharon White with Charles and Adrienne Classen's Rafferty's Rules in 5th.

Clark also happily offset his travelling expenses to Canada by being the low score leader after dressage and cross-country while wearing SSG Eventer gloves and thereby earning $2,000 in bonus money in the SSG "Go Low For The Dough" glove promotion.  Fifteen year-old Rowdie Adams benefitted from a bonus money rollover in the CCI2* and won $1,000 by being the lowest scoring Young Rider in that division. Having missed out on earning the bonus money after dressage, Rowdie made sure to buy a pair of SSG Digital gloves to give herself a chance in the cross-country phase.  Her coach, Karen O'Connor, celebrated her SSG bonus award money by greeting her with a bucket of ice water as she heard the news.  On Sunday, Phillip Dutton was the CCI*** winner of the SSG bonus money and, much to his disappointment, Kevin Keane missed out on his chance in the two-star when he forgot to wear his SSG gloves.

Rebecca Howard and Roquefort scored a win for Canada in the CCI**, with Hannah Sue Burnett and Jacqueline Mars' Harbour Pilot finishing second. William Coleman and his own Zipp lived up to his name by winning the CCI*. Mara DePuy and Willow Bend Farm's Alimit won the Open Training division.
