Horse Radio Network's Horses in the Morning Hosting Exclusive Program from the Stables at Graceland in Memphis to Share Elvis' Love of Horses

I have family in Memphis.  My sister-in-law and I love to go to Graceland together. It is an homage to the King.  We have eaten in Elvis' favorite pizza place -- in his favorite booth. We have roamed Graceland -- as much as anyone is allowed to roam Graceland who isn't one of the insiders. So to be able to have an audio glimpse of Graceland's stables is a treat!  Join me in setting your alarm.  Listen in on Friday as Glenn the Geek and guests discuss the King and his horses!  ~ ed

The Horse Radio Network's (HRN) morning show, HORSES IN THE MORNING, will broadcast LIVE from Elvis Presley's stables at Graceland on Friday June 10, 2011 from 9:00 - 10:00 am Eastern at www.horsesinthemorning.com. This exclusive show will tell the story of the King of Rock and Roll's love of horses. The show can also be heard on SmartPhones by following the Listen Live link on the website. A podcast version will be made available immediately after the show.

Joining Glenn the Geek will be co-host for the day Rafael Valle, owner of one of the most popular Palominos today; Ivory Pal.  They will be joined by Alene Alexander, the barn manager for Graceland since Elvis death in 1977 who will share stories of Elvis' horses.

"I grew up listening to Elvis, so it is a thrill for the Horse Radio Network to be able to broadcast from his stables at Graceland. This is one of those rare opportunities where we can use the voice of radio to share the passion for horses from a legend whose memory will never fade," says Glenn the Geek, Founder of the Horse Radio Network.

Elvis was an accomplished rider and loved horses.  He kept many on his property at Graceland in the heart of Memphis, Tennessee and was fastidious about the barn and the care of his horses.  His favorite mount was a golden Palomino quarter horse named Rising Run, he loved that horse so much he named his barn The House of the Rising Sun.

The Horse Radio Network is indebted to Rafael Valle for arranging this unique broadcast opportunity for the horse world. Rafael is an amazing horseman with a famous championship Tennessee Walking horse named Ivory Pal. Rafael is known for his natural training including barefoot and bitless riding.  Learn more about Rafael and Ivory Pal at www.ivoryknollranch.com.

The popular HORSES IN THE MORNING program at www.horsesinthemorning.com and on many affiliate websites around the Internet, is the only live online morning radio show devoted to the horse world broadcasting Monday through Friday from 9 to 10:30am Eastern time.
