Video: Jauggernaught Mare at European Championships
What do two cars, a tent, and several bicycles have in common? All were jumped during a stadium round by a runaway mare, Petite Dame and her German rider Anna-Maria Reike, at this past weekend's European CIC ** Championship. When Petite Dame's rubber bit broke, the mare decided she would return to the barns, come hell or high water, autos not-withstanding. Reike decided to stay aboard and warn spectators of the mare's jauggernaught. Happily, no one was worse for wear when the mare finally came to rest in the stable. Big time kudos to Ms. Reike for sticking with the mare and sticking the ride!
